  • Towards New Communication Dynamics?

    The recent pandemic has turned our daily lives upside down. Confinement and social distancing measures have impacted community relations. In that context, most religious communities have been led to use or find new means of communication in order to break down the isolation and stay in touch. This webinar will be aimed at encouraging an exchange about the field of communication among leaders in order to identify the communication models existing in their congregation and the awareness that the pandemic has fostered.

    The Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life (CICLSAL) invites you to a presentation conference of the document "The Gift of Fidelity and the Joy of Perseverance. Remain in my love" on Thrsday, December 10, 2020 (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time). It will be live streaming in English, French, Spanish and Italian. "The Gift of Fidelity and the Joy of Perseverance. Remain in my love" is a document from the CICLSAL on the current difficulties of members and departures in Institutes of Consecrated Life as well as Secular Institutes.

    The CRC’s General Assembly is an opportunity for the leaders of Catholic religious congregations of women and men religious in Canada to meet and share their experience, to reflect on important issues and to celebrate together. The chosen theme of the 33rd edition is: “A Present Hope: Reading the Signs of the Times.” Sister Laurence Loubières, XMCJ, and Father Gilles Mongeau SJ, will be the facilitators of this General Assembly proposed in a virtual way given the health restrictions in place.

Beyond questions of governance, we can reflect upon the spiritual intelligence of leadership, its styles and inspirations. How can religious and episcopal leadership mutually enrich one another? What are the post-pandemic perspectives for consecrated life and its place in the Church as a whole?

    This virtual Formator Workshop will provide an opportunity for vocation and formation ministers to dialogue and learn from one another on topics relevant to these unprecedented times: What is the impact of COVID-19 in the ministry of formation? How will we work for justice and equality in a COVID-19 world? Presentations by our speakers will also offer participants a chance to gain new insights and to then pose questions for response during the Speakers Panel.
