Here is a CICLSAL letter expressing closeness to all the peoples experiencing wars. Let us pray that war may cease, that an economy that kills may not win, that love may replace hate, solidarity replace indifference, that dialogue may be stronger than weapons. Let us hope that the Spirit guide each community and each consecrated person along the path of peace.

It is with great joy that we make our own Pope Francis’ invitation to set out on an ecclesial journey that begins next October 9 and 10 and will conclude in October 2023 with the celebration of the next Synod of Bishops on the theme “For a Synodal Church: communion, participation, and mission”.

In light of the prolongation of the Covid 19 pandemic and the subsequent deadlines for the convocation of collegial bodies (can. 631 §1-2) or similar bodies (can. 632) a request has been submitted to the Dicastery to be able to use computerized and telematic means as an alternative to personal presence in the above-mentioned bodies. The Dicastery has deemed it appropriate to authorize – on an exceptional basis, for a specific period and for individual cases – the use of telematic means for the remote connection of members of collegiate or similar bodies.
