  • The Intersection of Ecology and Christianity

    This presentation will explore the development of eco theologies, its strengths and limitation; and the key developments in the efforts to ‘green’ Christianity. What does it mean to be a ‘green’ What happens at the intersection of ecology and Christianity? It will also explore the issue of justice, especially that of gender justice, and where that intersects with the other topics. Guest Speaker: HEATHER EATON, professor at Saint Paul University in Ottawa and expert in ecotheology.

  • Charism and the prophetic character in consecrated life today. How is the Canadian landscape evolving?

    As announced last July, the fall programming will be dedicated to charism and the prophetic character in consecrated life through four online activities from September to November. These activities are intended to respond to the desire of the CRC network to continue to meet and reflect together, according to the priorities identified by the 2021 General Assembly. This webinar will be hosted by four resource persons from the CRC's Theological Commission.

  • UISG Online Course: “For All the Earth”

    As Pope Francis has urged, the development of an integral ecology on behalf of our common home is a Christian imperative, one that resonates deeply with the mission of women religious. This two-session presentation addresses four questions concerning the climate crises and the response of women religious. Integrating content with personal and small group reflection, theprogram is designed to provide leaders with a foundation on which to better respond to the Laudato Si’ Action Platform.

  • Charism and the prophetic character in consecrated life in Canada: Future reflections

    Following the Fall programming, this webinar will offer perspectives to interpret the 2021 fall reflections, and conclude this process by providing members with considerations to further pursue personal and community discernment. around the charism and prophetism of consecrated life in Canada. In the steps of the fall programming which was dedicated to charism and the prophetic character in consecrated life, and aimed to encourage encounters and reflections within the CRC’s network, the next activity proposes a conclusion to this thematic process.

    The Executive Board of the UISG (International Union of Superiors General) has created an extended process to enable Superiors General to participate as fully as possible in the UISG Assembly 2022 with the theme: Embracing vulnerability on the synodal journey. The UISG Plenary Assembly is one of the most important events in the Union's life and is reserved exclusively for its members, the Superiors General of Religious Congregations.

  • Interpreting the statistics of consecrated life in Canada

    In 2021, the CRC conducted a statistical survey on consecrated life in Canada. The results of this survey, available on the CRC website, were presented at the 2021 General Assembly. In order to pursue this reflection on the statistical results, we are pleased to organize a webinar that will address the possibilities of interpretation of these results, as well as the questions and challenges that they raise.
