The Intersection of Ecology and Christianity
Introduction
This presentation will explore the development of eco theologies, its strengths and limitation; and the key developments in the efforts to ‘green’ Christianity. What does it mean to be a ‘green’ What happens at the intersection of ecology and Christianity? It will also explore the issue of justice, especially that of gender justice, and where that intersects with the other topics.

HEATHER EATON is currently a professor at Saint Paul University in Ottawa, and an expert in ecotheology She is on the board of the journal Worldviews: Global Religions, Environment and Culture , the steering committee of the Religion and Ecology session of the American Academy of Religion Has authored and edited books; Ecological Awareness: Exploring Religion, Ethics and Aesthetics (2011), Ecofeminism and Globalization: Exploring Religion, Culture, Context (2003), Introducing Ecofeminist Theologies (2005) and others. She was a past president of the Canadian Theological Society.
