August 30, 2021 – The Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM) elected a new Congregational Leadership Team at the 35th General Chapter of Delegates, held from July 18-28, 2021. In addition to Sister Linda Haydock, elected as Congregational Leader for a second term, the team includes Sister Mary Haupt and Sister Susan Wells as General Councillors. Together they will soon select another sister as General Councillor to complete the team, with a five-year mandate.
Throughout this 35th General Chapter, launched in October 2020 with the theme “The Call of Our Lives!”, SNJMs discerned directions for their lives and mission in the years to come. The Chapter, experienced as a year of grace, will end with regional gatherings of sisters, affiliates and partners between October 2 and 9.
