TORONTO/ROME, MARCH 3, 2022 – Salt + Light Media opens this month its first Vatican Bureau, led by Jen Copestake, a Canadian-born broadcaster with more than 15 years of experience with the BBC. Supported by Salt + Light’s studio-headquarters in Toronto, Copestake joins the network as its first Vatican Bureau Chief to share truthful and accurate information to a world audience.

For the past seven years Jen was one of the main presenters in the popular global technology TV program, Click. She has reported from virtually every continent on subjects ranging from refugee crises in Syria to Arctic issues in Greenland, the use of artificial intelligence in medicine in Rwanda and the exponential growth of technology in China. Jen has produced and presented international programs with heads of state from around the world, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and U.S. President Jimmy Carter. She is a committed Catholic and has contributed to events at the Vatican for the Pontifical Academy for Life on artificial intelligence and robotics.
