2016 General Assembly
The General Assembly of the Canadian Religious Conference will be held from May 26 to 29, 2016 at the Sheraton Montreal Airport Hotel.
The chosen theme is: The Mission of Congregational Leaders: Amid the Challenges Discerning Hope.
The key-note speaker is Father Simon Pierre Arnold, OSB. A Benedictine Abbot originally from Belgium, Father Arnold has been living for the past 40 years in a monastery he founded in the Peruvian Andes. The author of several books on religious life, his insights and experience will be invaluable for the participants at the General Assembly.
The CRC’s General Assembly is held every two years. The participants are the members of the CRC. It is an opportunity for the leaders of Catholic religious congregations of women and men religious in Canada to meet and share their experience, to reflect on important issues and to celebrate together. At the end of the Assembly, the members will elect a new Administrative Council and propose directions for the next two years.
