JPIC Ontario Networking Meeting

Presentation
The CRC is delighted to invite JPIC Coordinators from Ontario to reflect on how to carry out justice work in the context of religious communities today. Drawing on the rich history of all the work that has been done through the Network, the JPIC Ontario network will look at choices to make in order to:
- Structure JPIC work;
- Choose certain topics;
- Start new work from seeds sown at the CRC Workshops.
Jennifer Henry, Executive Director of KAIROS, will give a theological/activist reflection and lead the network through questions of how to choose what to focus on in this time of limited capacity with overwhelming need.
A panel of representatives of the Sisters of St. Martha of Antigonish, the Sisters of Providence in Kingston and representatives from community organizations will share their experience with organizational transformation of justice work and with starting new projects, looking at issues of ecological justice, poverty and homelessness, First Nations reconciliation and peace.
