CRC Council

The members of the Administrative Council are elected every two years at the CRC General Assembly. The last Assembly was held from May 24 to 27, 2018 at Dorval.

See below the eight new members of the Council:

In office since 2012
  • Provincial Minister since 2012 and member of the provincial council since 2008.
  • Chairman of the board of directors of SIAF (Service intercommunautaire d'animation franciscaine) from 2011 to 2013.
  • Visited several provinces of the Order in India, Brazil and Madagascar
  • Professional formation in social work.
  • Some 10 years’ experience in communities before entering the Order.
  • Worked 7 years with L’Arche of Jean Vanier in Ottawa and Montreal.
  • Basic formation in spiritual guidance.
  • Has served 2 years on the CRC Council as Vice-President (2016-2018)

  • Teacher and school principal, but also provincial treasurer for 16 years.

  • Twenty years as Executive Director of the Ontario Institute for Catholic. Education and Superintendent of Education.
  • Has served 2 years on the CRC Council as Secretary Treasurer​ (2016-2018).

  • Teacher in Sherbrooke for 36 years.
  • Involved in parish ministry for many years.
  • 12 years of experience on the Provincial Council and 6 years on the General Council.
  • Had the opportunity to visit all the provinces of the Congregation in Africa (Lesotho, Republic of South Africa, Benin, Togo and Madagascar) as well as in France and the United States.

Florent Gaudreault, FÉC

  • French and English teacher at the secondary-school level, Pastoral animator, Director of student services and General Director of the same institution.
  • Director of the community infirmary in Laval for 8 years.
  • Liaison Officer for 4 years between the Brothers and the works in Quebec and the American colleagues, with the aim of developing collaboration.
  • Has been a member of the Provincial Council for many years.

  • Member of the General Council for 15 years
  • Previously appointed Congregation Leader
  • Attended most CRC meetings and came to know some of the questions of Religious in Canada
  • Has a strong knowledge about Religious Life in Canada
  • Has served 2 years on the CRC Council as Atlantic Representative (2016-2018).

  • Has been both General Councillor and General Superior
  • Has served 2 years on the CRC Council as Ontario Representative​ (2016-2018).
