The Augustinian nuns are consecrated to God, living in a monastery and gathered people to "seek God together in unanimity and Concord, with a heart and soul outstretched to God." From the first monastery built in Quebec in 1639 to today, six monasteries, gathered together in a Federation since 1957, are always present in several regions of Quebec. All these monasteries live the original Augustinian spirituality. The three dimensions of their spiritual life are: Fellowship communion; praise and intercession; mercy. A fourth aspect of their spirituality can be added: the love of the Virgin Mary.
