The Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation movement emerged from the Second Vatican Council, inspired by Gaudium et Spes. The Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace created by Pope Paul VI (1967) and the JPIC Commission of the USG-UISG (1982) are fruits of this movement.

Within the CRC, it led to the creation of regional social justice committees, that would eventually become the JPIC networks. 2022 will mark the 20 years of existence of the JPIC networks in their current form, as well as the inclusion of JPIC in the CRC’s mission at a national level.

The CRC wishes to celebrate this history of commitment by highlighting the stories, achievements and perspectives onward, for the JPIC movement, through the testimonies and reflections of consecrated persons and laypeople involved in the JPIC networks in Canada.

For whom?

  • Members of the CRC
  • Leadership teams
  • JPIC coordinators (consecrated persons and laypeople)
