ATRI's 26th Annual Conference

The Association of Treasurers of Religious Institutes (ATRI) will be holding its 26th Annual Conference September 27-30, 2013, at the Delta Hotel in Montreal. The Theme is: Religious Communities Under Construction.

This theme reflects the changing times of religious congregations across Canada. At this year’s conference we will explore together ways in which we can continue to ready ourselves in order to read the signs of the times. Mary Jo Leddy will ground the conference, Sister Margaret Kane, CSJ and Sister Elizabeth Davis, RSM will facilitate sessions with the religious and lay financial staff. We will also offer practical workshops to assist and challenge us in our various ministries as treasurers, leadership and financial people in our religious communities.

Religious Poverty a Prophetic Challenge to First World Economics

A lecture given by Sandra M. Schneiders, IHM, in Montreal, on September 27th. Sister Sandra Schneiders was invited by the Association des Trésorières et Trésoriers des Instituts Religieux (ATTIR). CRC is grateful to Sister Schnieders and ATTIR for giving the permission to publish her talk on this website. The French version of the lecture, under the title Pauvreté religieuse : défi prophétique à la première économie mondiale, is being published in two parts in the magazine on consecrated life, En son Nom.
